Why I need to return to Aldi
This is my first attempt at a post from my phone. I want to share that I intentionally took my husband to Aldi today so he can see for himself the way we can save money. I purchased this lot of groceries (plus a gallon of 2% milk already in fridge) for $17.53. The kiddos already consumed a quarter of the mandarin oranges, thus the empty container. So the list includes: 1 pouch of instant mashed potatoes, 1 gallon of milk, 1 jar of applesauce, 3 large jars of mandarin oranges, and 2 containers of applejuice. The fact that the bill was so unbelievably low means that we can use that money for other things, say bathroom upgrade that’s under way. If you have an Aldi near you, make a drive over. I don’t think you will be disappointed. This is intentional spending at its best!
LOVE Aldi. They are opening new US stores every day. I love to save money (I spend about $200 per month for food for my entire family of 4). But I also love that the store is very small, so I can do a month’s worth of shopping in about an hour each trip. Who really needs 27 choices of peanut butter, anyway? As a household organizing tool, they are tops.
