Some alone time
It’s Valentine’s Day and I have spent most of the day working and running to and fro. One of my trips was to our local YMCA for my 4 yr old’s gymnastics class. When we were though with class my daughter asked if she could go to the child watch room with her almost 3 yr old brother. I said sure and had every intention of hanging out while they played for 5 minutes.
But then wait…
My friend Karen was manning the room. She told me to take a load off. She made me a cup of coffee and told me to sit in the lobby and pick a book from the library and read a chapter or two.
So I did.
It was really nice.
And I actually enjoyed this strange book about an underground fairy city.
So random, right?
But it was nice to pause during this busy day. It was nice to have some “me” time. And maybe I’ll get to come back soon and read another chapter.
Who knows? Stranger things have happened…
